Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Venezuela meet at Cuban Chancery
CUBA, January 21, 2013.- During today´s morning, comrade Elías Jaua, Vice President of the Councils of Ministers and Minister of the People´s Power for Foreign Affairs, held a fruitful meeting with Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, during which they discussed about important issues of the bilateral and regional agenda, in particular, the celebration of the I Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC, in Spanish) where Cuba will hold the presidency pro-tempore during 2013.
During the fraternal meeting, both Chancellors reviewed the permanent development of the strategic relations and brotherhood between the two nations and coincided on the necessity to consolidate CELAC as a regional sovereignty mechanism which is essential for the Latin American and Caribbean integration.
While expressing his satisfaction for this new visit to our country, Elías Jaua reiterated the profound appreciation of Venezuela to the Cuban people and leaders, for the support to President Hugo Chávez during his health recovery process.
Minister Bruno Rodríguez assured that Cuba´ll always be supportive of President Chávez and the Bolivarian Revolution. (Cubaminrex)
