New Cuban Ambassador Presents Letters of Credentials to the King of Malaysia

MALAYSIA, March 15, 2012.- In the morning of 15 of March, the new Cuban ambassador, Ruben Perez Valdes, was received in solemn ceremony by the King of Malaysia His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan agong XIV  Almu'tasimu Billahi Muhibbudin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, to whom he presented the Letters of Credentials accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Malaysia.

During the brief exchange with the monarch, the Cuban envoy conveyed, on behalf of the Cuban President Army General Raul Castro Ruz, the wishes for the happiness and personal health of the King and for the prosperity of Malaysia. The Cuban Ambassador expressed also his commitment to work on the strengthening of the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation that happily exist between the peoples and governments of both countries. On his side the King, or Yang di-Pertuan agon in the local language, asked about the health of the Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and of the President Raul Castro, and requested from the Cuban Ambassador to convey to the Cuban leaders, equal desires of health and happiness.
